The creative universe that has given rise to the world as we know it is dynamic, interdependent, and deeply mysterious. In this series of one minute videos, I invite you to slow down and return for a moment to the Ground of Creativity, the Ground of Creativity that supports the world we experience, the Ground of Creativity that is always at play, the Ground of Creativity that has given rise to each and every one of us.
In this clip, filmed at the downtown Berkeley BART station, a Richmond bound train announces its presence well before it arrives with a growing, ghostly howl, a howl like the sound of the wind through the valley of eternity, or, as I like to think of it, a celestial conch shell held up to the ear of the unsuspecting Bay Area dweller. The sound of the BART trains is one of my favorite aspects of living in the Bay Area, a subtle reminder when I least expect it to reconnect with the Ground of Creativity, to reconnect no matter how busy I think I may be.
