Thank you Beth! I agree: As a huge fan of Bay Area creativity and innovation, I was suprised how much an explaination from an ancient Chinese system of understanding the world was so right on.

I agree: It’s an amazing way to think of the Bay, and very well explains what I’ve felt living here. Thank you for sharing!

Cool video, Austin! I love maps and mapping concepts visually. I had never thought of the feng shui of the large scale landscape here before, and it’s cool to add that to my concept of place here.
I discovered your book at Prana del Mar this May. Great video! I love the connection with geomorphology. Did you happen to take a field class with Dan Levish?

Hi Kim,
That’s great to hear that you had the opportunity to spend time at Prana Del Mar. The owner, Erik Singer, and I had quite an adventure designing it. It’s still sort of surreal to me to have a book I wrote, with one of the chapters about the creative journey of designing Prana Del Mar, now living at that center, sort of a words within world experience.
I don’t remember a Dan Levish when I was there. Sorry!
