In this clip, filmed en route to Stern Grove in San Francisco, my wife drives while I get the opportunity to capture the stunning beauty of a Sunday in June. The structure of the Bay Bridge, rails, rivets, and tertiary cables form a spontaneous stop animation while the main cables drop into view occationally like creative insight itself: blessing us for a moment with its presence, then returning to the celestial realms out of view. Meanwhile, my favorite DJ’s new album, Va Va Voom plays in the background, the song itself built of the unique acoustics of ping pong balls upon a ping pong table, while my two-year-old daughter complains about bird poop on the window. I love the way the Ground of Creativity sometimes reveals itself in the way a song on the car stereo spontaneously become the perfect soundtrack for present experience.
