Trauma, Insight, and the 8 Minutes of Awesome Interview, Part 1 of 2

Part 1 of 2.

Jennifer Lipski is a strong advocate of growth through community.  Through her organization, My Meta World, she helps others find their inner wisdom in community, and builds community through her program “8 Minutes of Awesome: Must-Watch Videos with Awesome People”  In March 2015, she interviewed me for her show.  True to form, we failed to pack it all in in under 8 minutes but had a great time.  Here’s her synopsis of the first half of the conversation, in which Austin talked about the rich creative insights following a major trauma.

A defining part of our humanness is creativity. Being creative does not necessarily mean being good at art – – being creative means bringing your inner fire and unique self forward via expression of any kind, embodying your most full self in whatever way you fill your day. In this Part 1 of our conversation, creativity mentor Austin Hill Shaw talks about what it means to be creative, and the serious personal event that he experienced which shifted his awareness.

Thank you so much, Rosalyn! You would certainly know: With the patience of a bodhisattva, you endured my initial runs of slogging through my words take after take. I am so appreciative of your help and support!
